When I found out Jason Lee wanted me to read his book and share my thoughts I was flattered. And then when I actually read his book I was pleasantly surprised by just how much of his story he was willing to share (and how much we actually have in common). Whether he’s hob-nobbing with celebs, manning the ship over at “Hollywood Unlocked: Uncensored” or making appearances on “Love And Hip Hop” or “WildNOut” with Nick Cannon.. I can see how it would be easy to take one look at Jason’s public persona and make sweeping assumptions. But when I first came up with #HumanizedWithBlue the whole point was to challenge people to see each other AS people, and actually listen to each other – even if for just that hour. And I’m glad I took that approach because the Jason Lee who sat on our teal couch last week was warm, engaging – and yes a bit mischievous – but the conversation that ensued was a sincere pleasure. And served as another reminder why we should all be wary of judging a book by its cover. Speaking of books, his memoir, “God Must Have Forgotten About Me” is on sale now! And it’s a legit page-turner. Cop that ish now to help you pass the time while we’re all on quarantine.
